Very good observations and hopeful conclusion; I truly hope come to pass.

My fear and initial research conclude a slightly different and more dystopian future.

If you add into your analysis, not just AI but automation and robotics. Factor in the elimination of the vast majority of back office middle management positions, in addition, the nations #1 employer gong fully autonomous in the next decade, transportation.

We truly see a future where at least 65% of all present day employment will be gone. Yes, maybe humans can retrain in the vocations of the future. It’s possible, very few of these types of positions will actually emerge as anything but low level maintenance functions and so me but very few, higher level creative rolls. So many fewer jobs and worldwide unemployment in the 45-50% range.

Maybe my projections are much too high, I hope so.

A seismic shift such as this needs to happen over decades to prepare for. Unfortunately, it will happen as soon as can be implemented realistically. Corporation seeking sky high quarterly profits in any one sector will hasten the AI unemployment surge in all others. Its just a case of when the first incredible profit reports attributed to AI, automation and robotics show up in earnings calls and reports. They will think little about anything else but profits. I hope I am wrong.

I see this happening within the next 5 years or sooner. Good article, thank you.
