There was a common term amongst the upwardly mobile, that was a play on the Gordon Gecko character in the film Wall Street”. Your don’t want Fuck You money, you want Fuck Everyone Money. It conflated, money, happiness and power into one massive goal. And the ends justify the means, with attainment of cash as supreme, at the expense of all things. This narcissistic attitude and moral erosion of our society is not new, it did not start in the 80’s it just was given public voice and national prominence that remains today. Our country is sick on corrupt capitalism, as a capitalist I call for Capitalism 2.0, a rethinking of the shortcoming of our system and a wholesale overhaul of the old guards and their corruption. Dismantling the tools they have use to kill capitalism and game the system to the detriment to all but the very few. A level playing field and equal opportunity is all that is needed for the cream of America to rise all boats, instead of skimming of the cream and letting us all swim in the milk looking for cream that has already been hoarded by a very few. The freely displayed assholes reign, let’s put them back under our asses where they belong.
