Information is power? How could you possibly compare the two. A partial list of harmful chemicals, not present in legal, regulated and tested cannabis:
“Tobacco smoke is made up of thousands of chemicals, including at least 70 known to cause cancer. These cancer-causing chemicals are referred to as carcinogens. Some of the chemicals found in tobacco smoke include:
Nicotine (the addictive drug that produces the effects in the brain that people are looking for)
Hydrogen cyanide
Formaldehyde
Lead
Arsenic
Ammonia
Radioactive elements, such as polonium-210 (see below)
Benzene
Carbon monoxide
Tobacco-specific nitrosamines (TSNAs)
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
Many of these substances cause cancer. Some can cause heart disease, lung disease, or other serious health problems, too. Most of the substances come from the burning tobacco leaves themselves, not from additives included in cigarettes (or other tobacco products)”.

The facts, just the facts. I can certainly argue the point that “e-Cigarette” helped me immensely quit smoking cigarettes”. Vape save my life. A decade ago, after tens of try’s to quit. Vape/e-cigarettes were my path to end tobacco usage. I was having heavy chest/respiratory symptoms. A decade latter of Vape usage, I breath much better, have no signs of tobacco usage side effects and one entire bottle of e-cig juice has about 6mg of nicotine, one cigarette has between 8mg to 20mg of nicotine. I do smoke a bit of cannbis, instead of wine or hard liquor as my relaxation of choice after a hard days work. Below is some specific marijuana/cannabis info, debunked by Snopes.
Specifically Marijuana Related:
Donald Tashkin, a UCLA pulmonologist who has studied marijuana for 30 years, hypothesized that the chemical THC may prevent the cancer-causing chemicals in marijuana smoke from negatively affecting the body. The THC in marijuana has well-defined anti-tumoral effects that have been shown to inhibit the growth of a variety of cancers in animal models and tissue culture systems, thus counteracting the potentially tumorigenic effects of the procarcinogens in marijuana smoke.
We don't know for sure, but a very reasonable possibility is that THC may actually interfere with the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease”
