Nicely stated. Keep up the fight! I am male, with an adult child, divorced, have had a good few live in partnership. At half a century old, happily single, in fact although aging is a bitch, I have never been as comfortable in my own skin, life plan of the Devine creator and life in general. I help care for two elderly sisters of a mothers side of 14 kids with only them and my mother left. Being from an enormous family with many cousins, we all share the Burden and joy of being able to care for the two single old aunts. One is 100, the other pressing 90. They are not lonely, just old and infirm. I guess the “old ladies get no love or care choir” needs to see there are many many many caregivers to family who are elderly and single. Kids sometimes simply put their elderly parents in a home and never come back. I saw this thousands of times working in healthcare staffing and visiting convalescent home nursing directors. So there is no one sized fits all solution and marriage and children are no guarantee you won’t end up lonely or without care in your elderly years. Again, nicely stated!!
