PayPal from the failed x.com banking and the other ventures were all in existence before Musk (founded, not) them. Like most rich guys origin stores he has taken much liberty with his own. Corporate welfare, co-opting others inventive are the root of his empire. Tax his and all the billionaires at 90% then he will just be an another annoying and coddled rich guy.
