I love America but I can truly say you are spot on. Your also absolutely correct that to vigilantly defend ones country, critique and thoughtful acceptance that a problem needs to be solved is important. I know america is behind many countries in infant mortality, healthcare in general, education and opportunity to list a few. This was once not the case. We have taken our world leadership after WW2 for granted and squander the good will we banked during the war and with the Marshall plan and rebuilding Europe. Our infrastructure is crumbling and after 40 years of concerted effort the autocrats, plutocrats, nationalists and theocrats have made an unholy alliance to destroy America. If we are not the inscription on the Statue of Liberty, then there is not many reason for us to exist. We are ignoring our moral command to be the “real shining city on a hill”. Great article, your actions are more patriotic than those listed above. Keep up the great work.
