Companies and government have been gaming the system for years. Giving Managment titles to the garbage collector of a fast food chain so they can work them to death, pay minimum wage and if they do die on the job the COMPANY COLLECTS on a “DEAD PEASANTS INSURANCE POLICY” you hear me right THE COMPANY COLLECTS WHEN THE EMPLOYEE DIES” not the family and not a beneficiary. The company is the beneficiary. Don’t believe me, look up “dead peasants insurance” it has a long and disgusting history. So a garbage manager, can be forced to work much more than 40 hours because he is management. That’s what companies and with immunity government organizations have done for DECADES. Now I have been an employer for decades and I have pulled the same thing admittedly. However, I always gave my people huge performance bonuses they all shared in for units done, revenue, etc. and I never even thought about a insurance policy to pay me if they died. Small businesses always ask a lot of their employees for many reasons not applicable to large companies and government. However, the new generation of workers and even older workers sick and tired of being treated like shit, underpaid and even less appreciated are a new breed. They are saying fuck you to managers or anyone that expects more then 8 hours work for 8 hours pay. I don’t blame them. Instead of threats and intimidation. Give them cash to meet goals of the organization. Shit middle and upper Managment get huge stock and cash bonuses when the company does well. They have little to do with it generally. Empower your employees and provide exceptional incentives of money, not gift cards to olive garden. Quit quitting maybe the labor movement of the 2020’s. More power to them all!!
