A good start as pointed out is ProPublica an excellent, insightful news outlet without any spin. Don't watch opinion shows that editorialize disguised as News. Read or listen to books. The issue is that you need to use reason, critical thinking and dissenting opinion social input. You will seek the truth and the truth will set you free. All television or radio is owned by corporations. Sure they exert some editorial discretion and some of that is nefarious. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Information is power. Collect data (news) verify with multiple reputable sources (not social media), think critically about the information you have gathered and it's source, begin to formulate an opinion. Speak to others, especially if they disagree. Not to convert the other, but to hear their viewpoint and add to your data set. The truth can sometimes be elusive and generally the answer is not the two choices your given, it's the choice your not given. May your journey be the reward, make it a lifetime effort.
